Lake Worth ISD is proud to celebrate two of its outstanding educators, Rebekah May and Holli Grant, who were recognized last week at the Educational Service Center Region 11 Teacher of the Year Banquet.
Rebekah May, a dedicated educator from Effie Morris Early Learning Academy, was honored as the Elementary Teacher of the Year for the district. Her commitment to nurturing young minds and fostering a love for learning has made her a beloved figure in the Lake Worth ISD community.
Holli Grant, who teaches at Lake Worth High School, was recognized as the Secondary Teacher of the Year for the district. In addition to this prestigious honor, Holli was named a finalist for the Secondary Teacher of the Year for Region 11, highlighting her exceptional dedication and impact on her students.
Both Rebekah May and Holli Grant are invaluable assets to Lake Worth ISD. Their tireless efforts, passion for education, and profound impact on students’ lives make them shining examples of the district’s commitment to excellence in education.

Lake Worth ISD students in our construction program attend an event to help build tiny homes for homeless veterans.
Lake Worth FFA wins big On January 6th, the Lake Worth FFA competed in the Azle FFA Alumni stock show. Adamari De La Paz won 1st place and over all Grand Champion Market Dairy Wether.
The LWFFA swine exhibitors competed in the Open Swine Show at the Fort Worth Stock Show January 19-23. Kendall Jones placed 4th with her Chester White gilt and received 1st place and Champion Hampshire Breed.
