Lake Worth ISD Celebrates School Board Recognition Month

Lake Worth Independent School District is proud to recognize January as School Board Recognition Month, honoring the dedicated individuals who serve on the Lake Worth ISD Board of Trustees and give their time, leadership, and service to support students, staff, and the community.

Superintendent Dr. Mark Ramirez expressed appreciation for the Board’s continued commitment to the district.

Lake Worth ISD Thanks Parker Products for Continued Support of Bullfrog Angel Tree

Lake Worth Independent School District is celebrating the generosity of Parker Products following a $3,000 donation to the district’s Bullfrog Angel Tree initiative, a program that supports students and families during the holiday season.

Parker Products has been a consistent supporter of the Bullfrog Angel Tree for several years, and this year’s contribution will help ensure students across the district experience joy, hope, and holiday cheer.

“These donations truly make a difference for our families,” said Noah Ceballos, District Communications Coordinator, who oversees the Bullfrog Angel Tree program. “The Bullfrog Angel Tree is about more than gifts—it’s about showing our students and families that their community cares. Parker Products’ continued commitment speaks volumes about their heart for Lake Worth ISD and the Bullfrog community.”

Funds from the donation, combined with contributions from community members and local partners, will help provide gifts and support for students identified through the program.

Superintendent Dr. Mark Ramirez expressed gratitude for the ongoing partnership and community involvement.

“We are incredibly thankful for the support of Parker Products and our entire Lake Worth community,” said Dr. Ramirez. “Initiatives like the Bullfrog Angel Tree reflect the strong relationships we share with our partners and the generosity that defines our district. Because of this support, we are able to care for our students beyond the classroom and remind them they are valued.”

Lake Worth ISD extends its sincere thanks to Parker Products and all community members who continue to support district initiatives that uplift students and families.

Lake Worth ISD Welcomes New Superintendent, Dr. Mark Ramirez


The Lake Worth Independent School District (ISD) Board of Trustees has unanimously voted to approve the official hiring of Dr. Mark Ramirez as the next Superintendent of Schools during a special board meeting held on Wednesday, May 28, 2025.


Dr. Ramirez brings with him an impressive 26-year career in public education marked by a commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and equity. His educational journey includes leadership roles across multiple levels, including bilingual classroom teacher, science instructional coach, assistant principal, principal, district science coordinator, executive director, and, most recently, held the position of Associate Superintendent in Dallas ISD.


"I am deeply honored and incredibly excited to join the Lake Worth ISD family and fulfill our vision of empowering our students through personalized learning experiences to develop leaders," said Dr. Ramirez.

The Lake Worth ISD Board of Trustees has named Dr. Mark Ramirez as the lone finalist for Superintendent of Lake Worth ISD during a special board meeting on May 6, 2025.
 

"Dr. Ramirez's exceptional leadership qualities, extensive executive experience, and profound commitment to student success resonated deeply with the Board," said Armando Velazquez, President of the Lake Worth ISD Board of Trustees. "We believe Dr. Ramirez possesses the vision and dedication necessary to lead our district forward and help every member of the Lake Worth ISD Community reach their fullest potential."
 

Dr. Ramirez brings a distinguished 26-year career in education to Lake Worth ISD. His journey through the educational landscape is a testament to his pursuit of excellence. He has served as a bilingual classroom teacher, science instructional coach, assistant principal, principal, and executive director within Dallas ISD. Most recently, Dr. Ramirez served as an Associate Superintendent with Dallas ISD.
 

By law, the Board must now wait 21 days before voting to hire Dr. Ramirez to be the new superintendent for Lake Worth ISD. Active Superintendent Dr. Rose Mary Neshyba will continue to operate as the district leader during this period. The Board of Trustees is expected to officially hire Dr. Ramirez as the new Superintendent after the 21-day waiting period. Lake Worth ISD is excited about the prospect of Dr. Ramirez joining our community and leading the district into a bright and prosperous future. This marks the beginning of a new chapter for our district—one filled with opportunity, growth, and continued commitment to student success.

Lake Worth ISD Board of Trustees Approves New Associate Degree Opportunity for High School Students

Lake Worth High School Students Can Now Earn an Associate Degree While Enjoying the Full High School Experience

At the April 21, 2025, Board Meeting, the Lake Worth ISD Board of Trustees approved a new course offering that will allow Lake Worth High School students to graduate with an Associate of Science Degree from McMurry University—at no cost.

Students will continue to participate fully in athletics, fine arts, Career and Technical Education (CTE) pathways, and other extracurricular activities while earning college credit. Unlike many early college programs, this opportunity ensures students maintain their traditional high school experience while advancing their education.

“This program removes barriers and opens doors,” said Michael Mundt, Director of Advanced Academics and CCMR. “It’s a true game-changer for our Bullfrogs!”
