    Title: LWISD Athletic Director/Head Football Coach




    Ben Stedronsky

    Title: Head Baseball Coach

    Bio: Played high school baseball at Lincoln Southwest in Lincoln, NE. Played college baseball at Northwest Missouri State University. Coached at Western Texas College from 2012-2014. The team made it to the Regional Tournament for the first time in school history in 2012. Coach at Reagan County in Big Lake, TX from 2017 - 2019.  Area qualifiers all three years.  Made it to the Regional Quarter-Finals in 2017 & 2018 and reached the Regional Semi-Finals in 2017. Married to Kristina Stedronsky and have one son, Jaxon (2).

    Title: Head Varsity/JV Tennis 

    Bio: I have been with the Lake Worth High school tennis team for 19 years. I am married and have a 19-year-old daughter and a 14-year-old son. I am also the elementary PE teacher at Miller Elementary.

    Tracy Ranes

    Title: Offensive Coordinator 

    Bio: Tracy begins his 2nd season in Lake Worth ISD as the offensive coordinator, after spending 25 years in Copperas Cove as the Assistant Athletic Director/Offensive Line Coach. Tracy has coached in two State Championship football games and won a state title as a head track coach. While in Copperas Cove, he was fortunate enough to have coached Robert Griffin (2011 Heisman trophy winner and 2012 NFL offensive rookie of the year), Charles Tillman (NFL man of the year and Pro Bowler), and Josh Boyce (Super Bowl Champion) along with many other outstanding athletes. He is very excited to continue his career with the Bullfrogs in hopes of helping many of them reach their potential and accomplish their goals. Tracy and his wife Jill just celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary and have two wonderful children. Katy is an All-American setter for Texas Woman’s University volleyball team and Bryce attends the University of Texas at San Antonio.

    Raul Salas 

    Title: Head Girls Soccer/Assistant Football

    Bio: I am a native of Fort Worth, Tx and a graduate of Texas Christian University.  This is my fourth year coaching high school soccer and my second year as the Head Girls Soccer Coach.

    Creighton Reed 

    Title: Quarterback Coach, Pass Game Coordinator

    Bio: Originally from Juniata, NE. Played Quarterback at Chadron State from 2013-2015 where he was a two-time RMAC Academic All-American. Transferred to the University of Nebraska Kearney and coached WR’s there from 2015-2018. During that time four WR’s received All-Conference honors. Graduated with a  Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Management from the University of Nebraska Kearney in 2017 and a Master of Arts in Education degree in 2019 from Nebraska Kearney. Married to Shelby Reed who is a Speech Pathologist.

    Bio: I have been a teacher/coach for 27 years and an athletic trainer for 22 years.  I have two handsome boys, Dylan (10th) and Cameron (8th).  I have a passion for ensuring the safety and well-being of your children that you entrust in my care each year.

    Shelbi Watson

    Title: Head Softball Coach & Assistant Volleyball

    Bio: My name is Shelbi Watson, I am currently married and have lived in Fort Worth for 5 years. I graduated from Montgomery High School, then went to Sam Houston State University where I was a member of the Bearkat softball team. My softball accolades are; 2-time All-State as a shortstop in high school, academic All-State my senior year and 4-time All-Conference at Sam Houston. This will be my 3rd year as a Head Softball coach, previously at Alvord High School.

    Jessica Wheat

    Title: Athletics Specialist

    Bio: Welcome!  My name is Jessica Wheat and I am the Athletics Specialist for LWISD.  I am here to assist you with any of your business needs for athletics. I am also a LOUD and PROUD mother of 2 beautiful daughters Jessie and Jasmine and glamma “Ya-Ya” to 2 wonderful grandbabies Luca and Ali!  In my spare time, I love spending time with my family, dancing, thrift shopping, watching cooking shows, and spoiling my grandbabies. I enjoy my career in education because I love to watch the growth of our students as they open their minds to new learning experiences.  I am happy that Lake Worth is my home and I’m proud to be a BULLFROG!

    Vance McAnally

    Title: Defensive Coordinator and Head Track Coach

    Bio: Vance begins his 2nd year as the Defensive Coordinator and Head Track coach for the Bullfrogs. He grew up in Hamilton, Tx and later attended UNT in Denton. In addition to his B.S. from North Texas, he also has a Masters in Educational Leadership from UTA.  Vance’s wife Amy is a Professor for Central Texas College and they have 2 sons. Oldest son Caden is a Junior Agronomy Major at Cameron University and plays on the Golf Team for the Aggies. Youngest son Gage is a freshman at LWHS and plays football, baseball, and golf.  Vance has coached many NFL and college football players throughout his 27 year career. He has also coached in 2 State Championship Games, 3 State Semi-Finals games and in 2007, won the 4A State Championship in Track.

    Gary Qualls

    Title: MCLA PE Head Softball/ Asst. Volleyball

    Bio: I am married to my wife Shelia. We have one daughter, Ashlee (who is a teacher in Community ISD).  Her husband Randall Doud is a teacher in Dallas ISD. I have coached football, baseball, basketball, track, cross country, volleyball, and softball during my 20-year career.  I have coached teams that have won district titles in JV boys basketball (2), girls track (1), and 11 regional qualifiers in cross country along with 4 state qualifiers.  I also coached a young lady to a district title, regional title, and state title in the shot put in 2002.

    I have been the head softball coach for 14 years.  I have coached 8 playoff teams, 74 all-district players, 9 district MVP’s, 8 all-state players, and 20 players have gone to play college ball. I have been a long-time member of the Texas Girls Coaches Association, serving on the All-State selection committee, All-Star selection committee, as well as TGCA Rules committee. One highlight of my career came in the summer of 2018 when I was elected to be the head coach of the TGCA west all-star team. The west had not won the all-star game in 5 years, but that summer we won 2-1. I am very proud to be a member of the Lake Worth ISD family and look forward to a great spring on the softball field.
