Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How do I find out where my bus stop is and what time the bus will arrive?
A: You can find bus stop information at the following link: Bus Stops and Times
Q: What do I do if my child misses the morning bus?
A: Parents should instruct their children to go home immediately and on what procedures they want them to follow. LWISD Transportation requires that the student be at the bus stop 10 minutes prior to the bus arrival time to ensure not missing the bus.
Q: What if I want to ride a bus other than my assigned bus home?
A: LWISD policy states that the guardian must write a note regarding the change in bus, the note should be given to the campus office and the student will be given a bus pass that will be given to the bus driver.
Q: Are large items, for example a large band instrument, allowed on the bus? A: LWISD policy states that any object too large to be carried by the student on his/her lap or that takes up an extra seat (example: large musical instrument, school projects, fundraisers) is prohibited on the bus.
Q: Are food or drinks allowed on the bus?
A: No eating or drinking is allowed on the bus at any time.
Q: I want my child to start riding the bus, what do I need to do?

Q: Can my child bring a pet on the bus for show and tell?
A: Absolutely no live animals of any kind or insects are allowed on the bus.
Q: My child left his jacket on the bus, what do I need to do?
