The History of Our Bullfrog Band Program

The Lake Worth Band began in the mid-1940s, has a great period of growth in the last 20 years.  The program has grown from 80 total students in 2000 to a consistent enrollment of approx 400.  During that time the band program has grown from 3 total ensembles to 10 ensembles today.  

The Lake Worth High School Bullfrog Band is the sound of Lake Worth and the pride of the Lake Worth Area.  The Bullfrog Band consistently achieves Superior Ratings and Best in Class awards.  Students of the Bullfrog Band routinely make the ATSSB Region, Area, and All-State Bands as well as medal at UIL State Solo and Ensemble Contest.  The “Wind Ensemble” is a perennial Sweepstakes and Grand Champion winner in Texas and neighboring states.
