Bio:
Coach Prieto comes to Lake Worth from Crosby ISD, where he was Athletic Director and Head Football Coach for the Cougars for the last four years. Since 2005, he has served as a coach at Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial (Assistant Head Football Coach/Offensive Coordinator/JV Basketball/Recruiting Coordinator) and W.B. Ray High Schools (Assistant Head Football Coach/Offensive Coordinator/JV Basketball), A&M Consolidated High School (Head Offensive Line Coach/Assistant Wrestling), Cypress Springs High School (Co-Offensive Coordinator/Head Offensive Line Coach/Boys Basketball Assistant/ Recruiting Coordinator) and Columbus High School (Varsity Defensive Tackles/Assistant Powerlifting/Assistant Girls Track). He earned a scholarship to play football at the United States Air Force Academy and then transferred to play tight end for the Sam Houston State University Bearkats. Prieto received a bachelor’s degree in political science with an economics and Spanish minor from Sam Houston State University. He obtained his master’s degree in educational administration from Lamar University. Prieto and his wife, Julie, have two sons: Jerry Jr. and Mason.
