Public Notice of Intent to Apply for the Texas Education Agency’s 2023-2024 Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Centers, Cycle 12, Year 1 Grant Program

In accordance with Public Law 114-95, Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965, as amended by Every Student Succeeds Act, Title IV, Part B (20 U.S.C. 7171-7176) and the Texas Education Agency (TEA) RFA#701-23-106; SAS#180-24, Lake Worth ISD is providing notice of its intent to apply for the 2023-2024 Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Centers (23-24 21st CCLC), Cycle 12, Year 1 Grant Program.
The federal Nita M. Lowey 21st CCLC program supports the creation of community learning centers that provide academic and enrichment opportunities, during non-school hours for students, particularly students who attend high-poverty and low-performing schools.
TEA anticipates approximately 40 grants will be awarded ranging in amounts from $250,000 to $2,000,000 each year of the five-year project period.
This notice is to inform the public and community that Lake Worth ISD is in the process of applying for this grant. The application will be available for public review after submission of the application.
