    2018-2019 Technology and Student Devices

Lake Worth ISD embraces technology in the classroom to help engage students and give them access to worldwide information and resources.

Starting in 2018-2019, all students in grades K-8 will be assigned an iPad to be used while on campus.

All students in grades 9-12 will be given the opportunity to receive a Dell 3189 Laptop to take home to use during their enrollment at LWISD for an annual usage fee of $25.

If students choose to forego using the district issued device, they can utilize their own device as long as it follows the districts Bring your own device (BYOD) agreement.

While we understand that cell phones are often used in the learning environment, they will be considered a supplemental device and should not be used as the students primary device for learning.

     Cell Phone Policy

All student cell phones will be kept in the lockers until the end of the day.  A cell phone found on a student during the day will be taken to the office.  The parent will have to come to reclaim the phone and pay a $10.00 fee after the first warning.  If you need to contact your child during the day, please call the office.

  • Meet the Staff

    Mr. Grajek

    Mr. Grajek

I’m Tom Grajek, and I’m one of two 8th Grade Pre-Algebra Teachers here. I am excited to be with the great students, staff, and faculty of LCMS and LWISD.

I am married to Janice Grajek (formerly Janice Figueroa of Dallas, Texas), and she is also employed by LWISD. We have three grown daughters and two grandchildren. I am American-Japanese and grew up on Guam, Puerto Rico, and Hawaii. After serving my country in the U.S. Military, traveling both the Asian and European continents, and deploying to several remote locations, I retired from the U.S. Army in 2002.

I attended The University of Hawai’i and graduated from SouthWest Texas State University (Texas State University) with a Bachelor’s of Science in Mathematics and a Master’s of Education in Educational Leadership, and Superintendence in Educational Leadership. I am certified Mathematics 8-12 and Principal EC-12.

I have served as a High School Mathematics Teacher (San Antonio and New Braunfels), Middle School Assistant Principal (New Braunfels and Aransas Pass), and Principal (Aransas Pass and San Antonio).

Thank you for the privilege to teach your children. It is my honor to have them in class, to learn community-building together, and to mentor them into our future community leaders!
