    2018-2019 Technology and Student Devices

Lake Worth ISD embraces technology in the classroom to help engage students and give them access to worldwide information and resources.

Starting in 2018-2019, all students in grades K-8 will be assigned an iPad to be used while on campus.

All students in grades 9-12 will be given the opportunity to receive a Dell 3189 Laptop to take home to use during their enrollment at LWISD for an annual usage fee of $25.

If students choose to forego using the district issued device, they can utilize their own device as long as it follows the districts Bring your own device (BYOD) agreement.

While we understand that cell phones are often used in the learning environment, they will be considered a supplemental device and should not be used as the students primary device for learning.
