 | This is my eighth year at Marine Creek and my seventh year teaching Fantastic First Graders! I am excited to be your child's First Grade teacher this year. As a first grader your child will blossom as they work hard on becoming a more confident reader, writer and mathematician. First grade is a year of transition as your child moves into a more formal learning environment. First graders still have a lot of hands-on learning but will also move towards a more independent learning level. Your child's success should not be measured by where they finish at the end of the year but just how far they have come! Learning is a partnership between not only the child and teacher but also the parents. Your child will have homework Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. More importantly your child should be reading at least twenty minutes a day. |
