Lake Worth ISD Safe and Drug-Free Schools and Communities

Safe and Drug-Free Schools and Communities (Title IV, Part A) provides state and local education agencies (LEA) with supplemental funding to develop and enhance education programs targeting violence prevention and drug prevention for students and employees in elementary and secondary schools. The Principles of Effectiveness require Lake Worth ISD to conduct a needs assessment, use research-based activities, establish performance measures and include meaningful and ongoing consultation with parents. This department administers the Title IV formula program.
The Lake Worth ISD Safe and Drug-Free Schools and Communities committee meets four times per year. To volunteer to serve on this committee please contact the Administration office: 817-306-4200
