Welcome to the second grade webpage.
We have splashed right in and are working hard.
This year we are reading stories about fairytales, dinosaurs, famous historical figures, and animal camouflage. We are learning lots of new
vocabulary words, grammar concepts, and reading strategies. We love to be authors of our own exciting stories.
Our focus in math this year is money, addition and subtraction facts, geometric shapes, accelerated math, multiplication, time, and word problems. We love to
discover new concepts and share with our family.
In social studies and science we are exploring our community, our government, and our Earth. We will investigate all areas of science such as, life science, physical science, and Earth science.
