Lady Frogs Hit the Diamond
The Lady Frog softball team faces a schedule that should prepare them for the 7-AAA slate that awaits beginning in mid-March. After opening the season at the Whitesboro Tournament, the Lady Frogs travel to perennial powerhouse Argyle, followed by the Glen Rose tournament.
Their first home game will be 01 Mar 11, hosting Italy, then its back on the road 04 Mar 11 to take on former district rival Carrollton Ranchview. A home game the following afternoon against Whitesboro, and a subsequent home contest the next Tuesday against Diamond Hill-Jarvis are also on tap.
Lake Worth will take part in the Cowtown Classic 10-12 Mar 11, and will then host Glen Rose in the final non-district tune-up. 7-AAA plays opens on 18 Mar 11 with Castleberry coming to town. The final 7-AAA game is slated for 22 Apr 11, against visiting Mineral Wells.
Last year the Lady Frogs advanced out of 11-AAA as the second seed, falling to North Forney in a two-game sweep.
