Frogs Begin Defense of District Title
Lake Worth opens the 2011 baseball season on Monday, 21 Feb 11, hosting FW Diamond Hill-Jarvis, with first pitch scheduled for 7:30 p.m. The Frogs finished last season as the 11-AAA champions, bowing out to Paris in the Area Championship round, in a best-of-three, dropping game one 9-5, taking game two 5-6, and falling in game three 15-2.

This year finds Lake Worth in a new district alignment (7-AAA), along with a new region (I). Gone are Dallas ISD schools Madison, and Roosevelt, along with FWISD opponent Diamond Hill-Jarvis. New neighbors include old rivals Bridgeport, and Decatur, along with class 3A newcomer Mineral Wells. The Rams have spent the last several years as a class 4A school. Castleberry rounds out the mix.

Lake Worth has a streak of 12 consecutive years advancing beyond district play, and the Frogs are expected to once again contend for one of three playoff bids out of 7-AAA.
